Perfect dental experience! I went in for my periodic cleaning and exam, which revealed a slight cavity and an older "crown" that was failing. Doctor Ellis and Staff installed a new Crown and filled the cavity, the next morning. I did not feel any discomfort, during the procedure! In my opinion, Doctor Ellis and his staff have been a great Blessing to me, (and my wife) for the last 3 years, or so. Always friendly, professional and gracious! Thank you very much! Michael

I had to switch dentists because of an insurance shift and my friend recommended Ellis dental. I just had to go in for a routine appt and I was very impressed with the whole experience. The location is great, the office is welcoming, the staff, hygienist, and doctor were all super kind, easy to talk to, easy to work with, and good at their jobs. As far as the actual cleaning went, it was the best experience I’ve had in a long time. I don’t like it when the hygienist flosses too hard or is aggressive with the pick on your gums, but Stephanie did a fantastic job. Highly recommend!

My experience is always the best every time I go to the Dr. Ellis for an appointment. His staff is top of the line. They are friendly, quick and very thorough. First visit here and from start to finish we had a great experience. I brought my 21 month old and 3 year old. In the future I’ll schedule them on separate days because it’s hard to comfort and entertain at the same time. But the hygienists and Dr.Ellis were kind and accommodating to where our kids were developmentally in their dentist experience. Their goal was simply to make sure the kids enjoyed their experience at the dentist so future experiences would be enjoyable too. As a science minded person I appreciate that one of our hygienists had PT/OT experience and shared some signs to look for in my toddler to help with oral structure development. (Update) My husband and I had two session cleanings, about three weeks between each, and had positive experiences. My husband does not like doctor anything and had a very positive experience. I had two different hygienists for my two sessions and liked both hygienists. I came in with some tori issues and they immediately examined them, educated me on them & gave me achievable next steps. Sometimes you just know when you’ve struck gold. Thank you to all of the staff, keep up the great work.

This is the only dentist I trust to go to, I've never had a bad experience with Dr Ellis. Him and the staff are incredibly helpful and caring when performing dental work. I've had many major dental work performed here, and all of them have been very relaxing with nitrous and being able to pick a movie to watch. They also make sure you're numb enough before working on your teeth. I would 100% recommend getting your teeth worked on here, I've never had a bad experience.

Scott is the best dentist in Southern Utah!!! He is amazingly skilled! He always has a great attitude and is so professional! One time I when I had just moved in Southern Utah. I had a horrible toothache. He got me in right away. He also figured out that the person that originally did my root canal (from a different place) had missed a fourth root, and that was what was causing my problem. He is the best dentist ever! Dr. Ellis is kind, compassionate, and great at what he does. Edit: My first review was 2 years ago. 2 years later and Dr. Ellis is still amazing! I broke my front tooth off. He took time to see me asap. He was very busy in the office that day and asked if I would be ok to come back after getting to tooth prepped for a crown. He didn’t want to rush making my crown perfect. I agreed. I came back (after closing hours mind you! He stayed late just to make sure I was taken care of!) and he hand stained my tooth to make sure it perfectly matched my stained teeth lol! I told him I have a dentist who is also an artist! This front tooth looks like I never had a fake one put in! I appreciate the work that he does…but also that he makes me feel like family. When I walked in with my broken tooth he saw me and said “ohhhh…let me see” I showed him and he pats me on the back and says, “don’t worry, we will get you all fixed”. He’s absolutely the best! I agreed. 4:00 appt…arrived at 3:55 and was immediately taken back. Baylee my hygienist was very sweet, welcoming…talked to me very personably. I enjoyed talking to her. The reason for the low review is…. I was completely finished with my cleaning by 4:20. Usage of the cavatron, hand scaling, polishing, flossing, AND my next two appointments made. I was very surprised as I have never had an appointment go so fast. I waited for Dr. Ellis until about 4:45, which was fine. I get that patients before me have things come up and some people need more time. What I don’t understand is a 20 minute cleaning appt. I received a text asking how my visit went, and I did reply by text asking if this was industry standard, but received no reply or call. :(

While driving across Utah on a family trip, I had a temporary crown fall off which caused me a great deal of pain. I contacted the team at Ellis Dentistry, and they made time to see me even though I was not a patient. They fixed the crown and reapplied it, relieving my pain within minutes. Dr. Ellis helped with an emergency extraction on Thanksgiving weekend. I was in excruciating pain and in deep trouble full of infection. He went out of his way to help me. He did an excellent job on my tooth and it was not an easy one. I have nothing but gratitude for that man and his skills.

I went in today to have a wisdom tooth pulled. Right away the nurses made me feel comfortable and explained everything. Dr. Ellis came in and talked a bit and went to work. He got it done and I never even realized that the tooth got pulled!! There were no worries at all. I’m 61 and never had a wisdom tooth pulled and I’m glad it was done by Dr Ellis. I can truly say that I am always pleased with the service provided by Dr Scott Ellis. I was actually having a problem with a tooth that kept getting stuff stuck in it. We're talking over ten years. And he fixed it a couple years ago, since then no food has been stuck. That is one example, yesterday I needed a crown done so I went to see Dr Ellis. I have not been numbed since I was about 9 or 10 years old. I have always felt it makes no difference crowns, root canals or even just simple fillings. I have had three crowns and two root canals done in the same visit with no numbing. I hate being numb and biting my cheek and the needle. It hurts worse and you still feel the pain. So to the point all these years later Dr Ellis convinced me to get numbed after listening to all my concerns. He reassured me that it was different now and he can de-numb me right after with less time waiting. I can honestly say that this was the best experience with numbing and not feeling the pain I have ever felt. While he was drilling no pain at all. I love going to a dentist that cares and listens to you. He is actually concerned about making sure you are comfortable and have a good experience. He is amazing with our 14,10, and 4 year old children. They absolutely love him. Thanks Dr Scott Ellis

This is a brand new state of the art office. I had a great check up that confirmed my need for a crown. The good news is that Ellis dentistry has a new machine that will make my permanent crown in house during my appointment negating any need for a temporary of second appointment. I broke a tooth right before 5 pm on Thursday, I called two Dentist offices that I’ve seen before but nobody was willing to take me until the following week. Then I was referred to Dr Scott Ellis Dennis. I called early Friday morning and was in there having my tooth fixed within a couple hours. I’m 73 years old and been to many dentist in my life. What could have been a very painful procedure ended up being a delightful experience. Dr. Ellis staff was great too…

This is my third time there and I will be going back. I never felt the numbing injections either. If you’re looking for a new dentist I really do recommend him.
Dr Ellis what is the result of extensive research to find a great dentist. it all paid off in spades. very professional very experienced and gentle. He was very accurate and repairing a broken tooth and creating a replacement crown within the same appointment. We are grateful to find a family dentist that is nearby.

I called in the AM with a broken tooth right up front. Was coming into St. George as a visitor. They got me in that afternoon at 330 PM. They made an assessment, got me in to a surgeon for extraction and implant post, took an impression for a temporary tooth to restore my smile and by 530 PM I was on the way. The temporary was ready the next AM. I could not be more impressed at their treatment process. 1st class all the way.

Dr. Ellis’s office is the absolute BEST. From Dr. Ellis himself, the dental hygienist’s, and the front desk, there is no friendlier place to be. No one likes going to the dentist, but walking into their office makes me smile. I had a deep cleaning done, and was told exactly what was happening, and had no pain during or after. My mother broke her veneer on her front tooth. She went in the morning to assess the situation, and then went back the same evening to have it repaired. They make their own crowns on site, so there is no waiting and having to go back several times. I moved to the St. George area from the east coast not knowing anyone. I feel so incredibly blessed to have found Dr. Ellis and his staff. I promise you won’t be disappointed and you will leave feeling happy as I always do.

*Update* Finished my rootcanal, 2/10/21 I was very surprised when I received a text from Dr. Ellis checking on me later in the evening. He wanted to make sure I was comfortable and not in any pain, which happy to say I felt great! First of all, I love the decor! But most importantly, the whole staff was genuinely concerned for the pain I was in , it made me feel like I was in a safe place. They showed me all the options to get my tooth pain taken care of, as a cash paying patient that's important to me, and surprisingly their prices were affordable!
Very impressed with Dr. Ellis and his knowledge and care. Treated me like he knew me for years. Went out of his way to personally text me and stay in contact. Above and beyond to say the least.

He has done four crowns for me, among other dental work, and his attention to detail and pursuit of perfection are second to none. But beyond being the best dentist I've ever been to, Dr Ellis is a wonderful person. He has personally reached out to me on several occasions: to follow up on dental work, to wish me well following a surgery, and to send holiday wishes. I can't imagine another busy doctor taking time out of their hectic schedule to do this. As I read other reviews I realized this is not uncommon for Dr Ellis. Go and see him for your dental work, you will be happy you did.

II went into Dr. Ellis‘s office for a crown, And I was very impressed with his high tech crown making machine. I was in and out of his office for a complete crown procedure in An hour and 20 minutes. Very friendly staff and dr. Ellis took the time to explain to me all the procedures he was going to do and demonstrate his crown making machine.

I had never been seen before at Ellis dentistry but a big chunk of my tooth broke off late The evening before. They got me in that very day. I was sure I would need a crown and I knew that they cost a lot. When he looked, he felt confident he could build up the corner with a filling. We where really unsure who to choose for our dental needs but a referral from another medical provider enabled us to experience Dr. Ellis and his staff today for the first time. I want to say it was the most personal and caring staff experience I have ever had in a dental office, ever. From the moment I stepped up to the reception desk I felt at home and like I had been going there all my life. Everyone took the time to help us feel welcomed and like we were deserving of nothing less than the best care and attention. Dr. Ellis took the time to get to know us personally and was very willing to answer any questions that we had. I will be referring all the people we know and meet here to his practice. It is the easiest 5 stars I have ever given a medical service provider.

Dr. Ellis has worked on my teeth 3-4 times and each time I was so impressed with his skill as a dentist. He is highly skilled in the latest techniques of dentistry. He has a soft touch and I felt no pain. He asked several times if I was alright. He prepared my tooth for a crown and did an excellent job. He has a very good "chair side manner". He is willing to come into the office at any time to take care of a patient with an emergency. He has worked on my grandchildren and is especially good with children. I've only been going to Dr. Ellis for a short time but in that time he has been the best dentist I've ever been to. I don't have great teeth and I needed a lot of work done, Dr. Ellis was very respectful and understand and he set me up with a treatment plan that took 4 or 5 visits. He is very gentle, quick, and he makes it clear that his first concern is always his patient's comfort. Last time I saw him, I received a filling on one of my front teeth and he went above and beyond and took extra time to make sure that the color was perfect and even thickened my tooth slightly so they appear more flush. Scott is my favorite dentist, EVER! He took the time to fix what other my dentist couldn't figure out. I was in pain for so long, and Dr Ellis saw me right away, and fixed the problem. Perfect dental experience! I went in for my periodic cleaning and exam, which revealed a slight cavity and an older "crown" that was failing. Doctor Ellis and Staff installed a new Crown and filled the cavity, the next morning. I did not feel any discomfort, during the procedure! In my opinion, Doctor Ellis and his staff have been a great Blessing to me, (and my wife) for the last 3 years, or so. Always friendly, professional and gracious! Thank you very much! Michael

I had to switch dentists because of an insurance shift and my friend recommended Ellis dental. I just had to go in for a routine appt and I was very impressed with the whole experience. The location is great, the office is welcoming, the staff, hygienist, and doctor were all super kind, easy to talk to, easy to work with, and good at their jobs. As far as the actual cleaning went, it was the best experience I’ve had in a long time. I don’t like it when the hygienist flosses too hard or is aggressive with the pick on your gums, but Stephanie did a fantastic job. Highly recommend!

First visit here and from start to finish we had a great experience. I brought my 21 month old and 3 year old. In the future I’ll schedule them on separate days because it’s hard to comfort and entertain at the same time. But the hygienists and Dr.Ellis were kind and accommodating to where our kids were developmentally in their dentist experience. Their goal was simply to make sure the kids enjoyed their experience at the dentist so future experiences would be enjoyable too. As a science minded person I appreciate that one of our hygienists had PT/OT experience and shared some signs to look for in my toddler to help with oral structure development. (Update) My husband and I had two session cleanings, about three weeks between each, and had positive experiences. My husband does not like doctor anything and had a very positive experience. I had two different hygienists for my two sessions and liked both hygienists. I came in with some tori issues and they immediately examined them, educated me on them & gave me achievable next steps. I had never been seen before at Ellis dentistry but a big chunk of my tooth broke off late The evening before. They got me in that very day. I was sure I would need a crown and I knew that they cost a lot. When he looked, he felt confident he could build up the corner with a filling. I have enjoyed having Ellis Dentistry as my dentist for years now. The staff is all so friendly, the methods they use are very comfortable and pain free. Every time I am there they seem to have newer tools and equipment that make the process even better for the patient.

This is the only dentist I trust to go to, I've never had a bad experience with Dr Ellis. Him and the staff are incredibly helpful and caring when performing dental work. I've had many major dental work performed here, and all of them have been very relaxing with nitrous and being able to pick a movie to watch. They also make sure you're numb enough before working on your teeth. I would 100% recommend getting your teeth worked on here, I've never had a bad experience.

Scott is the best dentist in Southern Utah!!! He is amazingly skilled! He always has a great attitude and is so professional! One time I when I had just moved in Southern Utah. I had a horrible toothache. He got me in right away. He also figured out that the person that originally did my root canal (from a different place) had missed a fourth root, and that was what was causing my problem. He is the best dentist ever! He also has an amazing staff who is equally skilled, positive, and professional. He truly cares and wants the best for his patients.

Dr. Ellis is kind, compassionate, and great at what he does. Edit: My first review was 2 years ago. 2 years later and Dr. Ellis is still amazing! I broke my front tooth off. He took time to see me asap. He was very busy in the office that day and asked if I would be ok to come back after getting to tooth prepped for a crown. He didn’t want to rush making my crown perfect. I agreed. I came back (after closing hours mind you! He stayed late just to make sure I was taken care of!) and he hand stained my tooth to make sure it perfectly matched my stained teeth lol! I told him I have a dentist who is also an artist! This front tooth looks like I never had a fake one put in! I appreciate the work that he does…but also that he makes me feel like family. When I walked in with my broken tooth he saw me and said “ohhhh…let me see” I showed him and he pats me on the back and says, “don’t worry, we will get you all fixed”. He’s absolutely the best! Thank you!!

I have been coming to Ellis Dentistry since 2021 and have been pretty happy with the services I have received. I had an appt this week and was texted to see if I could come earlier to my appt, which I couldn’t due to work. I received a text a while later asking if I could see a different Hygienist. I agreed. 4:00 appt…arrived at 3:55 and was immediately taken back. Baylee my hygienist was very sweet, welcoming…talked to me very personably. I enjoyed talking to her. The reason for the low review is…. I was completely finished with my cleaning by 4:20. Usage of the cavatron, hand scaling, polishing, flossing, AND my next two appointments made. I was very surprised as I have never had an appointment go so fast. I waited for Dr. Ellis until about 4:45, which was fine. I get that patients before me have things come up and some people need more time. What I don’t understand is a 20 minute cleaning appt. I received a text asking how my visit went, and I did reply by text asking if this was industry standard, but received no reply or call. :(

While driving across Utah on a family trip, I had a temporary crown fall off which caused me a great deal of pain. I contacted the team at Ellis Dentistry, and they made time to see me even though I was not a patient. They fixed the crown and reapplied it, relieving my pain within minutes. Although I do not live in St. George, if I did, I would definitely make this my dentist. Thanks again!

Dental Hygienist Stephanie cleaned and polished my teeth with state of the art ultrasonic cleaner and some type of special pressurized polisher. My mouth feels clean and fresh. I recently had to have an emergency root canal and, despite not even being an established patient, I reached out to Dr. Ellis's office on the recommendation of a friend and they got me right in and took care of it beautifully and comfortably (both physically and emotionally :-)). I have some dentist anxiety, and Dr. Ellis and Dental Assistant, Yeva, have alleviated so much of that. I'm very grateful to be a patient here and cannot recommend Dr. Ellis and his staff enough.

No need to dread a crown appointment anymore......at Ellis Dentistry you will have just enough time to watch a movie on the ceiling and leave with your crown in place....because your crown will be made right there in the office. No dental insurance? Dr Ellis has reasonable membership plans to help defray costs and encourage you to keep up with regular preventative visits and take care of treatment needs promptly. I highly recommend moving past the old days of avoiding the dentist and getting a room with a view at Ellis Dentistry.

Dr. Ellis helped with an emergency extraction on Thanksgiving weekend. I was in excruciating pain and in deep trouble full of infection. He went out of his way to help me. He did an excellent job on my tooth and it was not an easy one. I have nothing but gratitude for that man and his skills.

My wife and I were on a 2 week road trip from Oregon, when a couple of teeth started giving me problems. We called after hours and within 20 min of our call they were contacting me to triage my situation and schedule an appt for me. They were able to get me in the next day, I needed 2 filling and a cap and they were able to do this the same day. All of the staff and Dr. Ellis were very professional and caring. I went in today to have a wisdom tooth pulled. Right away the nurses made me feel comfortable and explained everything. Dr. Ellis came in and talked a bit and went to work. He got it done and I never even realized that the tooth got pulled!! There were no worries at all. I’m 61 and never had a wisdom tooth pulled and I’m glad it was done by Dr Ellis. I can truly say that I am always pleased with the service provided by Dr Scott Ellis. I was actually having a problem with a tooth that kept getting stuff stuck in it. We're talking over ten years. And he fixed it a couple years ago, since then no food has been stuck. That is one example, yesterday I needed a crown done so I went to see Dr Ellis. I have not been numbed since I was about 9 or 10 years old. I have always felt it makes no difference crowns, root canals or even just simple fillings. I have had three crowns and two root canals done in the same visit with no numbing. I hate being numb and biting my cheek and the needle. It hurts worse and you still feel the pain. So to the point all these years later Dr Ellis convinced me to get numbed after listening to all my concerns. He reassured me that it was different now and he can de-numb me right after with less time waiting. I can honestly say that this was the best experience with numbing and not feeling the pain I have ever felt. While he was drilling no pain at all. I love going to a dentist that cares and listens to you. He is actually concerned about making sure you are comfortable and have a good experience. He is amazing with our 14,10, and 4 year old children. They absolutely love him. Thanks Dr Scott Ellis

This is a brand new state of the art office. I had a great check up that confirmed my need for a crown. The good news is that Ellis dentistry has a new machine that will make my permanent crown in house during my appointment negating any need for a temporary of second appointment. I broke a tooth right before 5 pm on Thursday, I called two Dentist offices that I’ve seen before but nobody was willing to take me until the following week. Then I was referred to Dr Scott Ellis Dennis. I called early Friday morning and was in there having my tooth fixed within a couple hours. I’m 73 years old and been to many dentist in my life. What could have been a very painful procedure ended up being a delightful experience. Dr. Ellis staff was great too…

I called in the AM with a broken tooth right up front. Was coming into St. George as a visitor. They got me in that afternoon at 330 PM. They made an assessment, got me in to a surgeon for extraction and implant post, took an impression for a temporary tooth to restore my smile and by 530 PM I was on the way. The temporary was ready the next AM. I could not be more impressed at their treatment process. 1st class all the way.

Dr. Ellis’s office is the absolute BEST. From Dr. Ellis himself, the dental hygienist’s, and the front desk, there is no friendlier place to be. No one likes going to the dentist, but walking into their office makes me smile. I had a deep cleaning done, and was told exactly what was happening, and had no pain during or after. My mother broke her veneer on her front tooth. She went in the morning to assess the situation, and then went back the same evening to have it repaired. They make their own crowns on site, so there is no waiting and having to go back several times. I moved to the St. George area from the east coast not knowing anyone. I feel so incredibly blessed to have found Dr. Ellis and his staff. I promise you won’t be disappointed and you will leave feeling happy as I always do.

*Update* Finished my rootcanal, 2/10/21 I was very surprised when I received a text from Dr. Ellis checking on me later in the evening. He wanted to make sure I was comfortable and not in any pain, which happy to say I felt great! First of all, I love the decor! But most importantly, the whole staff was genuinely concerned for the pain I was in , it made me feel like I was in a safe place. They showed me all the options to get my tooth pain taken care of, as a cash paying patient that's important to me, and surprisingly their prices were affordable!

He has done four crowns for me, among other dental work, and his attention to detail and pursuit of perfection are second to none. But beyond being the best dentist I've ever been to, Dr Ellis is a wonderful person. He has personally reached out to me on several occasions: to follow up on dental work, to wish me well following a surgery, and to send holiday wishes. II went into Dr. Ellis‘s office for a crown, And I was very impressed with his high tech crown making machine. I was in and out of his office for a complete crown procedure in An hour and 20 minutes. Dr Ellis goes above and beyond anything any other dentist has done for me. I had a major procedure done at his office and was having some problems that evening. Dr Ellis met me at 8:00 at night to help me. We will never see anyone else. Dr Ellis is so kind and talented!

Dr. Ellis has worked on my teeth 3-4 times and each time I was so impressed with his skill as a dentist. He is highly skilled in the latest techniques of dentistry. He has a soft touch and I felt no pain. He asked several times if I was alright. He prepared my tooth for a crown and did an excellent job. He has a very good "chair side manner". He is willing to come into the office at any time to take care of a patient with an emergency. He has worked on my grandchildren and is especially good with children. I've only been going to Dr. Ellis for a short time but in that time he has been the best dentist I've ever been to. I don't have great teeth and I needed a lot of work done, Dr. Ellis was very respectful and understand and he set me up with a treatment plan that took 4 or 5 visits. He is very gentle, quick, and he makes it clear that his first concern is always his patient's comfort. Last time I saw him, I received a filling on one of my front teeth and he went above and beyond and took extra time to make sure that the color was perfect and even thickened my tooth slightly so they appear more flush. Thanks Dr. Ellis!
